Built on Real-World Experience
911 DevOps was founded in 2012 by Andres Collazos, an engineer with over 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, and telecommunications.
The company was born from a simple observation: most businesses either can't afford the engineering talent they need, or they hire consultants who deliver slide decks instead of working systems. We set out to be different -- an engineering firm that actually builds things.
What started as infrastructure consulting has grown into a focused practice spanning five disciplines: DevOps engineering, cloud architecture, emergency incident response, AI and automation, and telecom systems. Every one of these areas is rooted in hands-on production experience, not certifications and theory.
Over the years, we've migrated companies to AWS, built VoIP platforms that handle thousands of concurrent calls, deployed private AI environments for teams handling sensitive data, and responded to more middle-of-the-night production emergencies than we can count.
We're still a small firm by choice. That means when you work with us, you're working directly with senior engineers -- not account managers and junior staff.

Founder & Principal Engineer
Andres has been building and fixing production systems for over 20 years. His experience spans cloud architecture (AWS), DevOps automation, VoIP engineering (Asterisk, Kamailio), AI infrastructure, and full-stack software development.
Before founding 911 DevOps in 2012, Andres spent years in enterprise IT and telecommunications, working with systems that demanded high availability and zero tolerance for downtime. That background shaped how he approaches every project: build it right, build it to last, and make sure the people who maintain it understand how it works.
He's a hands-on engineer who still writes code, configures infrastructure, and takes emergency calls. That's not going to change.
